Forest in the fast lane
Kirti Karmarkar Anand and her husband, Anand Sundaram, have converted a little over half an acre (0.68 acres) of their 11-acre farm on the outskirts of Secunderabad (Telangana) into a dense forest of native trees using the Miyawaki method.
Conceived by Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki, this method involves planting around 300 native trees in a 1,000 sq ft area to make a dense, self-sustaining grove. Before planting, the local agro-climatic conditions, including soil quality, are studied. Three layers of greens – shrubs and undergrowth, medium-height trees and taller canopies – are integral components of the Miyawaki forests.

A wonderful getaway in the city of Nawabs! Had the most memorable time of our life. Amazing ambience with an equally amazing host and staff!! Couldn't have asked for more!!
Thank you Anands for making our stay so comfortable!!!
I will return to Arbor Road Estate for another visit. It is a nature lover's paradise and an ideal getaway for families and groups. The genuine warmth of the hosts, the delicious food, and the stunning surroundings make it a destination worth revisiting. I wholeheartedly endorse Arbor Road Estate as a must-visit destination.
The warm hospitality of Keerti and Anand coupled with the feeling of community participation in its growth and development is very obvious. Staff is courteous and helpful. Nature, art and technology are well amalgamated and intertwined. A very refreshing and restful experience. Thank you.
Activities for everyone- be it indoor games, TT, basketball, swimming or just walking. Promise of remarkable views-( the light house with the library cutest thing ever) Friendly and professional staff. Kirti is an exceptional host.
...picture yourself waking up in a luxurious cabin surrounded by the sound of peacocks and wild birds singing. ...during the morning hike you are greeted by the friendly staff who hands over some freshly plucked chikoo and advise you on the best route for a leisure stroll.
Every time we stepped out we discovered something more interesting to the place. Kirti and Anand were a perfect host and guide. They always went beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable.
The food, the rooms, the staff, everything was amazing.
Thank you for giving us a lovely and rejuvenating stay....
Looking forward to coming back again...
